Tucked away in the forests of Slade, Kentucky are a mecca of sandstone cliffs just waiting to fill your forearms with glee (and pump!).

New to rock climbing? The Red River Gorge is an excellent venue to establish best outdoor practices and learn!

 

Want to bump your sport climbing to the next level, and cast off from the gym? No matter what level you are at, there is no better venue than the Red River Gorge!

 

Friendships and Belay-tionships: Join a supportive community, led by amazing women guides and meet life-long climbing partners!

 

IRIS guides are here for you. As excellent educators and detailed oriented, we are here to help you develop your outdoor sport climbing skills and your lead climbing confidence!

● Crack climbing gloves (hand jammies): for Indian Creek clinics
● Any personal items you’d like to use/try during the clinic
Ie. Quickdraws; rock pro; anchoring materials
● Approach shoes (or close-toed hiking shoes/ sneakers)

● 2L+ Water / Hydration

 

Clothes & Extras:
● Climbing pant or short (shorts long enough to fit under harness legloops)
● Long sleeve sun shirt (recommended to keep cool and keep sun off)
● Tank top / sports bra
● Rain jacket
● Insulating jacket (light puff or similar)
Maple Canyon in October or RRG in November will require 2 insulating layers
● Ball cap / sun hat
